Following the release of Totally Blind, which received a warm response with over 16,000 views on YouTube, Ego Divided returns with a brand-new track: Reflections.
The lineup remains unchanged, featuring Phil Spinelli (Tol Morwen) on drums, whose dynamic performance once again adds depth and intensity to the band’s sound.

Reflections dives deep into the darker corners of modern society, blending prog-death metal influences from bands like Atheist, Beyond Creation, and Edge of Sanity. The song alternates between aggressive growls and clean vocals, layered over intricate instrumental structures. Lyrically, it confronts the hypocrisy of a world obsessed with appearances, where authenticity is sacrificed for profit and image.
“Appearances are often deceiving / Sheeps, in reality, are bloodthirsty wolves”

This release also marks a turning point for the band: Reflections is the last recording to feature Alberto Zimone on guitar. His contribution has been essential to shaping the band’s identity since its inception, and this track stands as a powerful farewell to his creative legacy within Ego Divided.
Special thanks to Alessia Hilary Valastro, whose stunning artwork captures the emotional depth and conceptual tension of the song. Her visual interpretation adds a powerful layer to the experience of Reflections.
