Mauro Tagliavia was born in Palermo in September of ’77. He starts singing at the age of 15 for some local hard rock bands, performing in clubs with various tribute bands such as Guns’n Roses and Pink Floyd, gaining a good degree of success and affirming his singing skills, and then decides to join Crossover and Trash Metal band to compose the first CDs of unpublished works and inspired by groups such as Faith no more and Pantera, will therefore find himself having the first experiences in the recording studio. In 2015 he joined Ego Divided captured by their scratchy sound and finally found his dimension of expressiveness and artistic completeness.

Massimo Masi was born in Novara in 1980, he became passionate about guitar and metal music at the age of nine,
with the songs of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth trying to emulate the style of the respective guitarists. At the age of fifteen he began to dedicate himself to composing unpublished pieces and looking for components to form his own musical project.
The first experiments are oriented towards a thrash metal with prog influences to evolve into a genre closer to Death Metal, thanks to the experience with the Palermo band “Pantheism”. The turning point came when, determined to form a Progressive Death Metal band, the elements that give life to the first formation of “The Divided Self” are recruited, with a characteristic sound and immediately identifiable.

Ermanno Siino was born in Palermo in June 1979. He joined the band in 2025, contributing to the recording sessions of the second album.

He began playing guitar at 14, initially self‑taught and later guided by various teachers. Over the years he performed as member and co‑founder of several hard rock and black metal bands, while cultivating a strong passion for thrash and death metal. He released demos, splits, and compilations, and played at numerous Sicilian festivals and venues, earning recognition as a technically driven lead guitarist.

Influenced by players such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, and Yngwie Malmsteen, he has also shared the stage with international acts including Taake and Vader. His path later included academic studies and participation in the European Brass Group.

In 2025 he joined Ego Divided, immediately drawn to the band’s thematic depth, structural creativity, and powerful sound.

Alessio Lopes was born in Palermo in 1990, he became passionate about the instrument at the age of 16, coming into contact with progressive metal music listening to bands like Dream Theater.
In 2006 he enrolled at the European Brass Group, starting the studies applied to electric bass with Maestro Riccardo Lo Bue. In 2007 he began to take his first steps in a local heavy metal band called MK Ultra with which he recorded an EP. In 2011, after leaving the group, he began various musical projects including many death metal and progressive metal cover bands as a tribute band of Death and Tool, he also ventured into softer rock and hard rock projects.
In 2015 he rediscovered his old passions and resumed his projects in the field of death metal, initially collaborating with spiritual demises and in 2017 he joined Ego Divided.

Manfredi Mansueto was born in Palermo in 1996.
Drummer since the age of 13, Manfredi Mansueto has always been driven by his passion for rock and metal music, with a particular interest in technically challenging compositions. Over the years he has played in bands across a wide range of genres, including prog, post-hardcore, and alternative metal. More recently, he has explored grunge with State of Neptune and death metal through his work with Ego Divided.
